Our special flower this month is one of our favorites, the daffodil. The name daffodil is most probably derived from an old English Affodyle, meaning early-comer. As the spring arrives, one of the earliest signs is the appearance of daffodils, the sunny yellow blossom symbolizing rebirth and new beginnings.

The March birth flower and the 10th anniversary flower, a gift of daffodils is said to ensure happiness. According to legend, daffodils should always be presented in a bunch. This will bring prosperity and wealth in the coming months. The same legend that associated this cheerful bloom with good fortune, warn us that a daffodil given as a single bloom can foretell bad luck.
